Writing
Whether it’s visual design or written communication, the end goal is the same: getting your message across. It is rare to find someone who is talented in both of these areas - “left-brain” and “right-brain” - but most people would agree that I have achieved results in both worlds. I believe this crossover ability enables one to see the “big picture” and understand how different components work together to maximum effect.
My writing contributions have generally fallen into two areas: B2B and B2C.
Copywriting
My consumer-directed writing has been in the form of websites, blog posts, social media, and articles in traditional media. Here are some samples:
Web Copy
I wrote all copy on the Relocity website.
I’ve written copy for numerous other websites, but online material is continually updated, so there is nothing else online at the moment.
Magazine Articles
While at Schoos Design, I often “ghost wrote” interviews with Thomas Shoos, channeling what I knew to be his thoughts, but crafting them into a compelling narrative. Here are some examples:
Modern Decor article - Written for a Chinese magazine, with translation
Modern Luxury Residences article
Note: i also shot all but 2 of the photographs shown in the above articles.
Blogs Posts for Relocity
Neighborhood of the Month: Los Feliz
Move to LA and Live in La La Land
LA Getaways - the San Gabriel Mountains
Hike of the Month - Eaton Canyon
Business Writing
Most business-to-business writing has been in the form of presentations (pitch decks), proposals, and other formal communications such as these:
Presentations
Relocity Sales Presentation - NOTE: I did all the graphic design as well as wrote this presentation.
Proposals
I wrote all the text in the following proposals
Design Descriptions
At Schoos Design, I also wrote all Design Descriptions (artistic descriptions of each project) that were used in press articles and award applications.
